The First Game

College life seems pretty good. All the hype picks up for one thing... College Football. Down South, football is a big deal. Everyone dresses up, tailgates, and its picture time! My friends and I woke up, got ready, then tailgate hopped. It was so much fun. I was so excited to go sit in my great seats and experience the most exciting 20 seconds in college football as a student! Twenty minutes before the game was supposed to start my friends and I were headed to the stadium. We only forgot about one thing, 80,000 of our closest friends trying to make our way into the stadium (you can do this in high school you see). BIG FRESHMAN MISTAKE! haha. We got stuck in the student section line with every other kid in school trying to get into the stadium, only to miss the players running down The Hill, and to discover our "fantastic" IPTAY seats were only four rows from the very top of the stadium in the top deck. I was about to throw up. I HATE HEIGHTS!!!! The game was going great until I felt a splat on my nose, then followed by another! FANTASTIC! It rained. So there we were, soaking wet in the middle of the rain, hair drenched, looking like a drowned rat. We won the game, but honestly if we hadn't there would have been a big problem. We played a school the size of my high school! After the game, we ran onto the field and guess what? It stopped raining... of course. It would rain the entire time and quit as soon as the game was over.
So, then its time for the after-game festivities to begin, right? Well, some of my friends thought so. And now it the portion of my blog where I post todays top five rules to survive in college life.
1. Don't go to parties with people from waterpolo club that you have only met once. These people might take you to a really sketch apartment!
2. If you go to party with said waterpolo player, at least know which apartment complex you are in.
3. Do not take any drinks from guys that look sketchy.
4. When you call your friend to come get you, make sure he doesn't run over the foot of a collegiate rugby player on scholarship from your school that is trying to keep you from leaving the party. He might get angry, especially if his toe is broken.
5. Its okay to make these mistakes in college, as long as you get back to the dorm safely and have your good friends to take care of you when you get home (:
So, college is pretty fun I guess... Its even better when you get to wear an orange dress!
